When DC announced “Bendis is coming”, Superman fans took that as a warning. While he isn’t a bad writer that doesn’t make him a good fit for Superman, or at least the Superman and Jon Kent Superboy we’ve been getting in the Rebirth period of DC. Of course Dan DiDio hates that period because it wasn’t as dark and edgy as his New 52 and is working to create a “Brand New 52” in the eyes of many DC fans, right down to publishing around 52 comics again. Well, Bendis’ decision to age up Superboy and damage the Kent family unit is not making fans happy and the sales numbers reflect that. Can we get him off of this character now?Or just stick in him in the Wonder Comics imprint that’s doing questionable things but is at least it’s own continuity? DiDio can get his darker fixation there and leave the rest of us the Rebirth DC Universe we actually want.

Or did DiDio really think the trunks was our only complaint?
