This sort of happened to us many years ago. A power transformer blew on our street took out our power for…I think longer than two day. No light show that I recall though.
In this week’s Clutter Report I look at the untranslated Speed Racer reboot manga to see if I can somehow still enjoy it.
Saturday is my 46th birthday (getting older and having less to show for it) and although I still want to continue my clutter maintenance I won’t be doing a Saturday post unless I find something you might enjoy. I’ll do a special Today’s Comic for the next Free Comic Book Day preview I’m doing a deeper review set for on Friday in the usual feature article slot since I’ve already missed one when life events got to me. I also need to renew my driver’s license this week so depending on how long I take at the DMV there may not be much of an article the next day. (I usually write my articles a day in advance.) Hopefully I’ll at least have a good Jake & Leon gag come from it. Have a good week.
Go to the less busy DMV…the one to the north of you. You won’t have to wait long in a line at all there. When I went to that location in 2011, there was nobody in line at all! I was in and out real quick with my renewed license. I actually went to a AAA office in my town two years ago to renew my driver’s license, and that was also quick…..less than 30 minutes! Certain DMVs are infamous for customers having to wait long hours (like the one near my town is notorious for having the longest wait times). If you have a AAA office near you, I also recommend that for speedy service in renewing a driver’s license.
Have an excellent birthday on Saturday. Don’t party too hard like it’s 1999! It’s 2019!

It also costs more at the AAA. I have no income and this is already going to hurt. If it takes me longer to save money that’s where I have to go.

Then your best bet is to go to the DMV north of you. It’s not open every day, so check which days it’s open. There’s never a long wait at that one.
