EDITOR: Diana Schutz

As the SDF-1 makes their approach to Earth, our quartet is debriefed about their time aboard the Zentraedi base as their ships surround the battle fortress. Without the video evidence Gloval is the only one who believes them. They take some R&R, but Lisa’s most at home on the bridge, where she has a reunion with the other bridge girls. Meanwhile Rico, Konda, and Bron being their spying, which is hampered when the realize the only outfit they could steal for Bron was a woman’s outfit, specifically a dress. They do find him male clothing in time to attend an awards ceremony to welcome the quartet home and celebrate their promotion, with Minmei performing at the event. Seeing this as his last chance for revenge, Khyron orders his group to attack the SDF-1 but is stopped by Azonia before he makes any serious headway. There is still some damage that makes the ship’s splashdown a rocky landing, but they’re finally home.

What they got right: Cute joke with Bron ending up in the wrong outfit. Our heroes finally make it to Earth.

What they got wrong: It seems odd that all the brass (whom we never see until this episode and issue) are so dismissive of Lisa and the others’ report that they’re making fun of the group after all they’ve been through. The show really did need to make a second song for Minmei sooner than they did.

Recommendation: A good issue if you’ve followed the previous storyline. Otherwise it may not do a lot for you. This is about resolution and the start of the next phase of the series.
