I’m getting the impression that Marvel has opted to reboot their universe one character at a time rather than DC’s universe-wide reboots, and usually to the detriment of classic characters. Well, except Carol Danvers, who is now half-alien by birth rather than space science gone wrong. First Nick Fury goes blowing up planets and constantly resurrecting his dead friend as a robot, said friend being Dum-Dum Dugan, ruining both of those characters in different ways. Then Tony Stark’s adopted for no good reason and Iceman turns gay for a dumb one. And now it looks like Frank Castle hid behind his wife when the mob shooting that led to his becoming the Punisher happened? The writer of this article tries to come up with ways to undo this nonsense from a recent Savage Avengers issue, but based on the above I don’t see them taking it.
