The CW has released a trailer for yet another DC Comics based series, Stargirl. They seem to be sticking with the connection to Starman but are ignoring her pre-superpower ties to the Star-Spangled Kid, a Golden Age hero her stepfather used to be the sidekick of. Still it looks good and they aren’t playing up the feminist angle like they did with Batwoman…at least not yet. However, given the CW’s recent approach and the still darker but not as bad as the DCEU style I’m expecting to be disappointed. I hope I’m not as this is another character I’ve enjoyed elsewhere but I remain skeptical until I see the show in action.
