If you thought the re-merger of Viacom and CBS would solve the licensing issues and bring back the classic timeline, prepare to be disappointed. Variety is reporting on Alex Kurtzman’s plans to continue as he has been, which will disappoint classic Trek fans wanting to see something closer to the franchise they grew up with and love. He discusses crossovers and any possibility of theatrical movies, probably set in the new Prime timeline. I’m guessing the Kelvin timeline is kaput.
