Face it Bruce, you should have known better than having Creeper as you Uber driver.

Justice League Unlimited #10

DC Comics (August, 2005)

“Madness…Madness…They Call It Madness!”

WRITER: Adam Beechen

PENCILER: Carlos Barberi

INKER: Walden Wong

COLORING: Heroic Age

COVER ART: Ben Caldwell

LETTERER: Phil Balsman

ASSISTANT EDITOR: Jeanine Schaefer

EDITOR: Tom Palmer Jr.

The Madmen steal a nuclear bomb and even Batman can’t figure out what they’re up to. So the Justice League is forced to call in the Creeper. He tracks down an old member, who they wanted to bring in on the case but he’s been getting therapy. After the interrogation Creeper realizes that he’s the target for the bomb out of revenge for not rejoining. (They are called “Madmen” for a reason.) Together the Creeper and Batman manage to foil their plan.

What they got right: It’s like watching Batman teaming with the Joker, but without all that “hero/villain team-up” baggage. Creeper doesn’t get to do much in the DCAU. Jack Ryder showed up pre-Creeper in a few episodes of The New Batman/Superman Adventures and then one episode after becoming the Creeper. This is the only other time we get to see DCAU Creeper in action and it’s fun to see.

What they got wrong: Apparently someone designed an original DCAU outfit for Starman because it doesn’t match any design I’m aware of.

Recommendation: A good, fun superhero story. One to look out for.
