Even though some states are opening up how fast they do so depends on how badly their state or a particular part of that state was hit by the devil bug. Bleeding Fool contributor M. Ammar Shahid makes the case that online gaming could be a good alternative for those of us still under social distancing guidelines but craving human interaction.

Our state of Connecticut is the only one still on pretty much full restrictions. I have a teacher friend who moved him and his family from Connecticut to North Carolina during the summer of 2019. I talked with him yesterday, and he said North Carolina is already on its phase 2 of reopening. There’s so many other states right now where one can eat inside a restaurant, shop inside a comic book store, get a haircut, and get a drink inside at a bar. Governor Lamont wasn’t kidding when he said that Connecticut will be taking “baby steps” in terms of reopening over the next few months. So yeah, residents of Connecticut may need online gaming as a socializing alternative a lot more than folks in other states right now!
