What I love is that Transformers can be almost anything. Even Pretender shells are useful for disguise depending on the continuity, while the various Masters give us a human who can interact with other humans and help out the Autobots that way as well as linking up for battle. The alt mode could be for disguise, as an advantage in battle, or benefit in other tasks. It’s a great concept to explore.
