I’m still working on capturing the look of real-world people.
I saw the TV ad for Thor: The Dark World while watching the premiere of Agents of SHIELD and noticed that Thor felt more like Superman that the guy from Man Of Steel. That was one thing that distracted me about The Avengers, that it felt like what I would expect in a Justice League movie, minus the heroes fighting each other scene that proved it was a Marvel team-up.
The use of the lights is a call-back to J&L #15–or I thought it was. For some reason I thought I had the three Marvel characters with a light shining on them, but I just looked and I didn’t. Well, it still gave me the chance to play a bit with shading and while I don’t know how well I did at least I’m trying. That counts for something, right?
