It took a long time to figure out what Power Ranger parody to do with Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. Frankly, the show isn’t good and after bypassing Mystic Force because I’m not into the magical stuff usually, it was kind of disappointing seeing so many good ideas done so badly.
The exception was probably Mack’s reveal as an android. It was teased well and the story arc of Mack getting used to being a robot but still human where it counts was well told. So because I like to keep the parodies on the fun side unless I’m doing an actual commentary (which I expect to when I finally reach Megaforce and Super Megaforce) I went with that, paying homage to all the robotic allies the Rangers have had up to Operation Overdrive. Alpha 5 even cameos in one two-parter.
