Not so much a “change” as it is dialing it back a bit.

I really haven’t been happy with the past few comics. Recently I figured out what it was. The noses were too long, my attempt to adjust for the oversized eyes that is part of the style, but the end result was that the heads were too long. If you’ve seen the original version of the character models for Jake & Leon for example, you’ll notice a difference. Check my second Progress Report article.

A couple weeks ago I made up new character model sheets with some better designs for the character models for Jake and Leon, and did a full sheet for the supporting cast (which I originally did for the Christmas special before adding Max and featuring the storekeeper from the special which I haven’t used in the regular series because he doesn’t fit. Yet, if at all), including a new character, whom you shall meet in the next strip.

I don’t know if the changes are obvious to you, but they are to me, and I still have some tweaking to do, hence the last line by the computer voice. Still, I’m happier with it than I have been.
