Don’t get me started on the boots.
Although to be fair the boots in the latest pic weren’t that horrible. Still, the plating look is actually sillier than the high collar on characters not dressed as Batman. As one of my Twitter followers pointed out, why does he need armor? He’s Superman? Well, I suppose it could last longer than his usual spandex, which in the past has been explained away as either a mild force field or Kryptonian fabric that was in the ship. (One variation that it was his baby blanket, although it must be one big blanket. Clark’s glasses were also supposed to use the glass from the ship, explaining how he can use his heat vision while wearing them.)
