Funny thing is, the New 52 costume that lacked a boob window is one of the few New 52 designs I liked.

No, the other one. With the cooler cape design.

Bonus for an image  where she punts Damien.

Live-Action Bambi To Save Bambi’s Mother

It’s like when they took the “Walt” out of “Disney” they took everything he wanted to do and replaced it with corporate nonsense. Ever since Michael Eisner’s direct-to-video sequels that were not good continuations of the original movie, Disney has made bad decisions. And Walt’s name was still on the company at the time. Walt was an animator and despite having released live-action movies without animation he never forgot the power of animation. If anything he was responsible for showing the power of animation when it comes to storytelling, the ability to do things in cartoon form that were impossible to pull off in live-action due to the unreality of the cartoon world versus the regular human world.

Now the trend of making live-action remakes to “fix” the dirty cartoons and make sure they can win an Oscar from the Academy Awards, forced to shove animation into it’s own category so the “real” actors wouldn’t have a fit over a cartoon being nominated for Best Picture, has set it sights on Bambi. Mostly based on Felix Salten’s 1923 novel Bambi, A Life In The Woods, with whatever changes Uncle Walt would do because they’ve never been completely accurate to the source material, and you may not want to look up Salten’s history because…the dude was not a well man. The 1942 film left out a lot of animal vs animal violence and a scene where Bambi’s dad shows him a dead hunter, murdered by another hunter. Walt had considered adding it according to The New Yorker but the test audiences didn’t really go for it. All we actually got is Bambi’s mother dying, which became an issue for hunters and conservationists alike.

However, it’s the death of Bambi’s mother that appears to be the big complaint against the movie. Some kids are really sensitive and can’t handle it. That’s fine and I’m not going to call a kid out or a parent over-colliding for keeping a sensitive kid from it. These things happen. On the other hand, with a director coming from the remake of Pet Cemetery coming you’d think they wouldn’t be against that scene. In the case of Lindsey Anderson Beer you’d be wrong.

BW’s Daily Video> An Overview On Making Money In Comics

Catch more from Eric “Youngrippa59” July on YouTube

I considered building a post around this video, as someone who wants to get into comic creation. Could this be a route for me given the current condition of the DC and Marvel universes just from how the stories themselves are being treated. Since he plans to go over each point in more detail I decided to wait and compare what he says about each of his points to my current situation and what options I have not having his money or audience going into this, and being my own writer and (questionable) artist/colorist/letterer. So when he posts his installments I’ll build articles around those with what I’m thinking.

When it comes to one-shots I may do graphic novels like he did, and that was reflected in price totals he listed. However, when I get to full series I’d like to be more traditional at 24 pages because that’s what a comic series is to me, a TV show versus a movie to use the comparison I bring up a lot. That will change my numbers, as well as considering a print version of Captain Yuletide as more of a minicomic, maybe the size of a manga physically but with less of a page count. This should be interesting to analyze as this series continues.

Christopher Nolan’s League Of Shadows Are Too Stupid To Win

Ra’s (pronounced “rashe”) Al Ghul and Talia, from the Batman: TAS show bible.

I am not here to put down Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight Trilogy”. I haven’t seen the third one and don’t plan to because I didn’t think the other two movies were what I was looking for in a Batman story. This is especially true for the second film, The Dark Knight. People look at Heath Ledger and praise his performance. I look to the writing and make-up and ask when the acid-bleached showman became a schmuck in poorly applied clown white who “just wants to watch the world burn”. I like parts of Batman Begins, but I have issues. For example….

YES, HE DOES HAVE TO SAVE HIM BECAUSE HE’S BATMAN AND THE NO KILL RULE ISN’T JUST HIM NOT KILLING BUT HIM SAVING LIVES BECAUSE HE ISN’T JUDGE AND JURY AND BELIEVES IN THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE! THAT’S WHY HE’S A SUPERHERO!

And that’s the only one I have on DVD so I got enough enjoyment to hold on to that one. The second I thought was well made but not the best take on the characters and had no interest at all in the third movie. As for Nolan’s take on the League Of Shadows, Media Zealot did a video that at over 40 minutes is a bit long for a quickpost. Since I’m pressed for time and topic today I’m going to save my sanity and make post time with this installment of his “Villains Too Stupid To Win” series and let him explain why the League Of Shadows, Ra’s and Talia Al Ghul, and Bane all deserved to lose beyond their questionable (or in Bane’s case horrible) adaptation status. Obviously, spoilers for all three movies if you haven’t seen it yet.
