How do you make a giant rock monster fall in the Marvel Adventureverse? No, not by tying the Thing’s feet together (and Johnny Storm has tried). All you need is a giant-sized girl, a web-net, and a gamma-spawned monster. That’s Spacebooger‘s key to success.
The Battlefield: Marvel Adventures: The Avengers #11 (May 2007)
The Promoters: Jeff Parker (writer), Juan Santacruz (penciler), Raul Fernandez (inker), Adriano Lucas (colorist) and Dave Sharpe (letterer)
Cliff Notes: It, the Living Colossus, is fighting the Avengers and winnning. While Wolverine finds the guy controlling him (after being punted right to him by It–my favorite part of the fight:) ), Spidey makes a giant web catapult and Giant Girl launches the Hulk right through It’s cranium. Sure, It’s just a RC statue, but that’s still pretty hardcore looking until the next page. Later, all the heroes are recruited by a snake cult/pyramid scheme. I reviewed this a couple weeks ago as a back-issue when only one comic came out.
