If you missed yesterday’s post, I’ve been sick all weekend. (Even missed two days of work.) With Thanksgiving coming up I’m going to be really busy next week, so I’ll just be posting some “filler videos” to give me a break. Stay tuned the week after, because I have a request for you folks to help out with this year’s Christmas Spotlight. In the meantime, here’s some news shots.

• Since I’m taking the week off, let me tell you where I stand on the return of Doomsday. When we last saw him he was getting pounded into pudding by an army of superpeople. I had also thought he had been tossed back to the Big Bang by Waverider. The character is now a joke and we don’t need him back.

• Peter Parker’s parents to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man movie? At least they’re getting Betty Brant’s hair right with this actress.
• Anybody remember Muppets Tonight?

• In the new Call of Duty game you get to kill Castro.
• Speaking of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Kotaku also took a look at historical facts as presented, and sometimes misrepresented, in the game.
• Apparently there are smart parents out there? Is there a concern with violence in games? Yes. Is it government’s job to “do something”? No.
• A reviewer defends the right to judge a game based on storytelling.

Transformers #13

This is the point where I usually post what Monday’s afternoon review is going to be. The problem is that I haven’t been able to get to the comic store because I was sick. Hopefully I can go Monday, but with this week being what it is, I may not get out there until Friday or Saturday. So we’re going to play it by ear.

Also, I’ll be doing “filler videos” all this week but I’ll try to make it worth your wild, and of course the second half of the Best of “Ka-Pow” Friday Night Fights will appear as usual. Sorry for the lameness, folks, but blame the cold, not me.
