The final volume of the manga collection features one main story, about the length of the group of main stories, maybe a little shorter. “The Greatest Enemy In History” begins with the events of the robot tournament from the last NES Mega Man game, #6, and then goes into Mega Man declaring war on humanity in order to protect the Earth. What follows is a case of mistaken identity, soul-searching, Proto Man being a jerk again, and some great action. This alone is worth the purchase.
The comedy skits and character profiles continue as does the interview with Inafume. I would love for Udon to release more Mega Man mangas, especially ones that Hitoshi Ariga made. It was a great series, and while I’m looking forward to Archie’s run this will be a tough act to follow in my library.
