(I could have sworn I hit “publish”. That’s why this is late.)
It’s a good thing I picked today for a Getting Caught Up article. Work was a pain. Anyway, it’s time to clean out my newsletters so I can start clean with my rantings. I’m sure this won’t affect the Weekly Wrap-Up on Sunday, so let’s see what else I have to catch up on.
No, I won’t be discussing the upcoming death of a Fantastic Four character or DC’s decision to bring back letter pages. The latter is a cheap gimmick that won’t do a thing for the story and the former is a cheap gimmick that will be undone in a few months like every other “major” comic death these days. Besides I was never an FF fan anyway, but part of me wants to see it be the Human Torch so he can be replaced by H.E.R.B.I.E. the Robot so my childhood can laugh at the freaked out fanboys. 😀
comics
- Although speaking of which, here are some previous Fantastic temps, including the aforementioned mechanoid.
television/movies
- Sometimes rumors can be right and sometimes they can be dead wrong. Here’s a few of both from last year.
- Concerns about a particular change to the Narnia films and whether it will actually happen.
- When it comes to entertainment choices, movies are losing to amusement parks.
- Early shot of Andrew Garfield in his Spidey suit. Is it just me or are the colors actually darker than the Rami films?
video games
- One side says the 3DS could be bad for your eyes and one says it may actually help. You’ll be surprised which is which.
- India is using video games to prepare for a terrorist attack.
- What impact does music have on the game it’s in?
- How L.A. Noire could change the face of gaming, and why that’s a pun.
in other news (not involving Cracked or the Clutter Reports because this isn’t a Weekly Wrap-Up)
- I don’t usually get political or bother with the news media (seeing as my target is the entertainment media), but #9 in this list of underreported news items includes the FCC’s attempt to grab control of the internet. That’s rather important considering the importance of said internet on my goals, plus the fact that they already ruined Saturday Mornings.
- The 400th Anniversary of the King James Bible will celebrated in England this year.
- Have you heard about that Navy video? See it for yourself and make your own judgement. Harmless fun or over-the-top?
- First Pluto and now the Zodiac. Is it the universe or the scientists?
- Here are some interesting flamethrower designs. Yes, I’m ending with flamethrower designs.
Well, I’m mostly caught up. And now, supper.
