Justice League International #5
DC Comics (March, 2011)
WRITER: Dan Jurgens PENCILER: Aaron Lopresti INKER: Matt Ryan LETTERER: Travis Lanham COLORS: Hi-Fi EDITOR: Rex Ogle
The JLI confront Peraxxus on his ship for the final battle to save the Earth. Not a whole lot more I can put into a synopsis except that there’s a tease for a new villain.
What they got right: The team finally comes together, but there’s evidence that mutual respect doesn’t mean the team will be buddy-buddy (no matter how flirty Godiva gets) in the next story. It’s all action and all cool.
What they got wrong: What DID happen to Superman and the Justice League? Never answered, but the guy who asked? A copy/paste of the same shot of the guy four times! It looks lazy and the guy just looks silly with that “WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!” look on his face.
Recommendation: The first story arc was probably the best I’ve seen out of the New 52, and the only one I’m serious looking forward to continuing.

It's just a really good team shot, and the fight doesn't have a solo dynamic moment, which actually works for it.
