Don’t worry, folks. He’s an evil ninja.

One of the cool things about Twitter is when someone posts something someone else does. I post when some of my favorite webcomics update and I’m not alone. So when fellow Friday Night Fighter Hero Sandwich‘s Scott Slemmons re-tweeted a link to The Adventures Of Superhero Girl I decided to check it out. The result was fun.

Adventures of Superhero Girl follows the titular character fighting crime in a small Canadian town invested with ninjas and an assortment of lame supervillains. For example:

She isn’t necessarily incompetent, but there are times when things don’t quite go her way, especially since some people in this town aren’t what you’d call “bright”. Creator/writer/artist Faith Erin Hicks has given our otherwise unnamed heroine a supporting cast, like her unnamed roommate, a superhero fanboy who thinks every hero needs a tragic backstory, her perfect superhero brother Kevin, fangirl/superheroine Spectacle, and a cat she once saved from a tree. While the comic isn’t screwball or fall-down hilarious, it’s amusing and having just gone through all 100+ comics it is certainly entertaining. You can check out the comic on her Blogspot page a there’s a print version that is only linked to in one of her article comments that I don’t have time to track down.

It might make you feel a little bit better about your day.
