I want to make a joke, but this cover is so bland that’s impossible.

A quiet beach vacation was fine for the Doctor and Peri, but Frobisher wanted to party. This gets the trio caught up in a sibling rivalry that could accidentally doom the planet when a robot goes haywire.

What they got right: Peri in a bikini…I mean the series of events that lead to the robot’s arrival on the planet, told through part 2 via the Doctor following the timeline, makes for a good reveal and brings us an enemy who isn’t really evil.

What they got wrong: How does an abandoned Earth colony become 1920’s America? All of the misspelled references is supposed to be cute, but it gets old.

Recommendation: You may feel differently about the references than I do, and there’s still a decent story inside, if only to see the Nutty Professor (Jerry Lewis version) argue with a midget mobster.

I remember seeing Peri in a bikini on my Doctor Who: Planet of Fire DVD;) In fact, that episode was our first introduction of Peri to the Doctor Who universe. Maybe this back issue then is worth picking up too;)
