Meet the Broken Man, who seems to ramble a lot. But he’s sort of the narrator as giant doors float in the middle of nowhere. As The Samaritan, American Chibi, and some other heroes I don’t recognize as this is only the second Astro City I’ve read (sorry, Mr. Busiek) gather, someone finally comes through, seeking an ambassador to his world. Someone answers, but it’s not who you’d expect.

What they got right: With Busiek’s medical issues mostly behind him (I’ve been following his progress on Twitter), he returns to the superhero universe he created. The art is good and while the issue is setup for new readers, returning readers who haven’t read the series in a while, and for the current storyline, it does make me curious as to what happens next.

What they got wrong: All this talk about the “oubor” was kind of distracting. Hopefully there’s a point to it soon.

Recommendation: I’m glad to finally get into this series at a starting point and this appears to be an ongoing rather than another miniseries. I definitely recommend looking this one up.

Apparently "push, not pull" is a new concept.
