Why would someone cancel one of their most popular TV shows, a show that was not only a cultural symbol in its native country, but a hit worldwide, including languages other than the native one? Well, that’s what happened when a couple science-fiction hating programmers worked to cancel Doctor Who. However, as SFDebris’s Charles Sonneberg discovered for his special “Cancelled!” episode, there is more to it than that, including some bad decisions (and surprisingly even some of his good ones) by showrunner John Nathan Turner.
