New tournament here at the Friday Night Fights. Our MOC Spacebooger has named this one after “Battling Murdock”, father of future superhero Matt Murdock. Curious to see what the Prize Fight theme will be but we have 12 rounds to go through, first.

I didn’t come across any decent fights from this week’s entries so here’s one from some time ago as Spidey and Silver Surfer team up…the hard way!

“Battling Jack” round 1

The Battlefield: Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man V2 #19 (Marvel Comics; December, 2011) “Going Cosmic” (reviewed here)

Long story short: One of Galactus’s former heralds is jealous of the Silver Surfer and wants him dead. Events cause Spidey and the Surfer to switch powers but Spidey’s use of the Power Cosmic is not enough against Primordius, and the power is killing the unprepared web slinger. So Surfer is able to take control and merge them.

Also, there’s a young girl on the board with them. Long story.

For Spacebooger’s benefit, this form is referred to as “Spider-Surfer” by the good Mr. Parker.

And then they went to the girl’s place and had supper. I’m not even kidding.
