Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man V2 #19
Marvel Comics (December, 2011)
LETTERER: Dave Sharpe EDITOR: Tom Brennan SENIOR EDITOR: Stephen Wacker STORY 1 “Going Cosmic!”WRITER: J. M. DeMatteis ARTIST: Clayton Henry COLORIST: Andrew Dalhouse STORY 2 “The Hundred-Story Hunt”
WRITER: Sean T. Collins ARTIST: Pere Perez COLORIST: Jordie Bellaire
In the first story, Spider-Man and Silver Surfer’s powers are accidentally switched by an enemy of Surfer’s, but a young girl named Gracie ends up helping the heroes. It’s a cute little story and if Tobin isn’t on the title anymore I wouldn’t mind seeing DeMatteis take over. However, he needs a full comic, and I want to see what he does with Chat. (I miss her.)
The second story, and the fact that there are two stories in this issue, has Spidey and Kraven battling in an office building. It’s a bit odd, but Collins somehow made it work.
Recommendation: This comic needs a full-issue story instead of this two stories per issue stuff. Still, I can recommend reading it, as they were good Spidey stories.
