After Herobear and Tyler take on another of Von Klon’s evil toys, but it’s really a trap for Henry, who has a secret for Tyler. (I won’t spoil it here.) This leads to Henry giving Tyler a very important assignment, but Elmo talks him into going to the New Year’s parade…which plays right into Von Klon’s plans.

What they got right: Oh, this was a lot of fun. The villains are perfectly silly for the target audience, I like how the reveal was done (showing Tyler’s getting used to the craziness in his life), and Tyler’s still a kid so I’m guessing this is a responsibility theme.

What they got wrong: Too many panels on the page at one time. I know it’s a unique argument in these days of over-decompressed storytelling but this is too far the other way, especially for a kids title.

Recommendation: However, I’m willing to admit I’m wrong about kids not being able to handle all those extra panels, so buy this comic an prove me wrong. Or just buy the comic because there aren’t enough kid-friendly, much less kid-targeted, superhero comics on the shelves right now.

Like I said, fun villains.

Like I said, fun villains.
