In the present, Mega Man and friends continue their battle with the Walker as does X and his friends in the future. X saves Payne (who makes at least some connection to Rock) and naturally sees everything wrong before being drawn back through time, planning to “fix” things. Then Sigma joins the battle.
What they got right: You can see the early signs of Vile going Maverick (thus becoming the enemy gamers know his as), and the action is really good.
What they got wrong: Unless they’re setting up a future storyline (no pun intended) Xander’s presence here serves no purpose. And the Mega Man fight is kind of suffering here. We know they survive, we know the Walker isn’t getting out until X’s time, just finish that fight so we can focus on events from 21XX.
Recommendation: This comic has yet to let me down. I very much support it.
