Mega Man #38
Archie Comics (August, 2014)
“Dawn Of X” part 2: “The Hunters And The Hunted” WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Jamal Peppers INKER: Gary Martin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John Workman SELECTED COVER ART: Patrick Spaziante ASSISTANT EDITOR: Victor Gorelick EDITOR: Paul KaminskiMega Man is able to deal with the platform, but he should have cleaned up the mess so X and the Maverick Hunters wouldn’t have to in the future. Meanwhile, Xander gets a sneak peek into both the problems of experimental time travel and Mega Man’s life before ending up in 21XX.
What they got right: Hey, they tied Xander into that strange anomaly that caused all the time jumping back in issue #20. It’s also interesting to see the Maverick Hunters in action before Sigma and Vile switched sides.
What they got wrong: Is there a point to Xander being in this story?
Recommendation: This is another good story for both regular and X versions of Mega Man’s fans. There’s no Best Scene nomination but it’s good enough overall to recommend picking up.
