Scribblenauts Unmasked: A Crisis Of Imagination #7
DC Comics (September, 2014)
“The Shadow Falls” WRITER: Josh Elder ARTIST: Adam Archer COLORIST: Ian Herring LETTERER: Saida Temofonte EDITOR: Alex Antone
The Scribblenauts and Justice League (plus their allies) take on the Anti-Monitor’s forces with a new spirit and take back their friends and the Watchtower. Now it’s time to take the fight back to the Anti-Monitor, and the heroes have a plan and the edge…until the big bad himself enters the fray.
What they got right: I think this is at least 11 issues so having the final victory happen here wouldn’t leave a lot of story yet. All of the cute moments are still here and the fight between the heroes and villains is very well done and action-packed.
What they got wrong: Since I can’t think of a complaint in the comic, the cover teases Maxwell’s evil doppleganger and we know he’s destined to be part of the story but he’s not in the comic.
Recommendation: This is still a very fun maxi-series for kids and kids at heart. Go get this comic if you haven’t already.
