Batman ’66 Meets The Green Hornet #4

Green Hornet and Kato’s theft was a ruse but trying telling that to Batman and Robin. Instead, the bad guys get away with a new plan, and another trap for our heroes.
What they got right: While there’s a part of me that would hope Batman and Robin learn the truth of Green Hornet and Kato’s operation, if not their true identities. Both shows are over and it wouldn’t hurt anyone, plus this is the only Green Hornet comic set in the TV universe. But at least hero vs. hero misunderstandings here make more sense. The stories work quite well and seeing the two groups use their smarts to battle each other and track Gumm and Joker keep things interesting.
What they got wrong: The “break” narration match the commercials but it also shows off that this was originally released in smaller doses digitally. It’s not a storybreaker but still noticeable. It’s really the closest thing to a complaint I have.
Recommendation: I’m still very much enjoying this crossover. Now if we could just get the Green Hornet television series on home video like we’re finally getting Batman.
