The alien takes over the ship and begins repairs while Don and the Robinsons try to figure out how to retake the ship. Meanwhile, Doctor Smith’s mind is still floating around although the suit has an app for that. Hope may come from the Robinsons when they search the hole and find a gun Rob Liefeld would drool over.
What they got right: And yet it look more believable as a gun than anything Liefeld would draw…possibly because it only has one barrel. It’s actually good thinking that the suit (which if I’m guessing right turns the wearer into the alien, meaning the guy in the hole may not be the first guy either…perhaps we’ll find out tomorrow) has a function to at least pacify the host mind if not outright delete it. Movie June was actually decent for one panel.
What they got wrong: Penny hasn’t done more than shriek in panic the whole two issues. It’s like McDonald has no use for her or Bloop. Even Will has had actual dialog. Not much and the writer forgot he’s a super-genius but it’s still more than Penny has had.
Recommendation: Maybe it’s because I’m actually kind of neutral on the movie but I’m not hating this story. Tomorrow is the last issue and it will decide what I ultimately think about this miniseries.
