I would be surprised if nobody has heard of Batkid, a leukemia survivor named Miles Scott whose wish to spend a day as Batman was granted by the Make A Wish Foundation. What started as a simply wish grew to the greatest day in any superhero fan’s life as practically a whole city got involved, turning San Francisco into Gotham City (despite the fact that Gotham is based on New York but that’s splitting hairs), and even the President got involved! (Whatever problems I have with Obama, I congratulate him for that.) Well, prepare to live it again as the tale of would-be Dark Knight will have a documentary movie out soon.

Hey DC! Why hasn’t this awakened you to the needs of young superhero fans and given them more than Teen Titans Go! and a couple token direct-to-video movies? Get on that! Kid-friendly superhero comics! More shows! Maybe a theatrical movie? Kids not only love superheroes, kids NEED superheroes! This is probably the best Batman movie in a while, or at least the best movie Batmobile in years. Instead we’ll probably get a sequel where he fights Superboy or something.
