Dasher races off with Rushiha, with Faust in pursuit on his motorcycle, Asiel, which has a super pursuit mode. Faust already used his ultimate attack, the Hellfire Shot (which supercharges his bullets), but finds the strength to pursue. Meanwhile, Dasher tells Rushiha about the history of the robots, a secret military project from RR Corporation that the one behind all of this learned about and reprogrammed to capture Rushiha. Their master is Angel, a robot created by Rushiha’s father, who wants the girl’s body so she can become human (minds out of the gutter, people). Faust manages to stop Dasher, who self-destructs after Faust rescues her.
What they got right: Well, now we know the enemy. We also learn more about Faust’s equipment, both in the story and in a profile section at the back of the book. I like the idea of a futuristic gun that shoots bullets with electromagnetism instead of gunpowder.
What they got wrong: I’m kind of sorry Dasher was destroyed. He was rather nice for a reprogrammed kidnapper. I would have liked to see him join the good guys somehow.
Recommendation: I’m still enjoying this series as much as I remember. I still recommend it.
