I don’t care how cool it would be to see what color dinosaurs really are or to see a lost loved one a final time, but you know jokers would be trying to either “fix” a past mistake or stop Hitler/save JFK, and the end result will screw up space/time and the human race, if not the universe. Doctor Who makes time travel look fun, but the ramifications aren’t worth it. I would, however, like a vehicle that’s bigger on the inside than outside and house at least a studio apartment inside. That would save on housing taxes, hotel fees, AND travel expenses. Time travel can stay a mystery.
Well, tomorrow we finally wrap up Batman: The Animated Bible with a few thoughts. Meanwhile it’s time to debut the DCAU’s Superman Adventures comic as we have finally reached that point. Masters Of The Universe makes a debut in “Yesterday’s” with the one DC issue I own pre-52, back during the classic period of the 80. Dreamwave’s G1 Transformers finally reaches the main series with the first miniseries…aka proof that Simon Furman only has the worst Transformers tales because of Generation Two and ReGeneration One. And what he did to Arcee. We will also be saying goodbye to Metal Guardian Faust because Viz foolishly didn’t continue translating the series or someone in Japan foolishly stopped making it. I’m trying to decide if I should find another robot series or another manga series published in normal US comic format. I’m hoping to have the first BW Panelling of ConnectiCon 2015 up and running for Saturday. And hopefully Sunday we’ll have our first weekly installment of Chapter By Chapter (I was sick this week, this time with gas–this week’s Clutter Report was just a repost of the Precocious review from yesterday). Finally I’m trying to work on a banner for a new article series, but I won’t be able to start said series until I have more drawing time. Patreon supporters have an easier time with that teaser thanks to the first Progress Report posting there and I’m still not telling which one I’m talking about. Also, this section doesn’t get posted to Patreon, just Jake & Leon. More fun to come here at BW Media Spotlight.

I look forward to the review of DC’s Masters of the Universe from the 80s. Do you also have the Marvel Masters from the 80s? Also, why did the 80s Masters of the Universe comic books switch from being under DC’s leadership to Marvel’s imprint? What were the behind the scenes drama with that?

Sadly I only have the one issue, although I thought I had the first two (of three) and the DC Comics Presents where He-Man first teamed with Superman. My collection is still kind of a mess so I don’t even know anymore. I do have a bunch of the Star Comics run (and I don’t know how Marvel/Star got it from DC, but it is sometime after DC stopped helping with the mini-comics) and all of MV Creations’ run on the 2000s re-imagined series. Plus the modern DC ones I made the mistake of buying. Those reviews are already up and good writing does not make up for screwing up a childhood favorite. Not for me personally anyway.

Thanks for that info. There must be a reason why He-Man jumped from DC to Marvel/Star in the 80s. I will read your review on DC He-Man to get a better sense of what the comics were like. I was a He-Man fan, but just never got any of the comics at the time. I did used to have the whole Star collection of Thundercats issues though. Over the past year, I’ve picked up a few back issues to recollect the Thundercats. Don’t know if it also might be worthwhile to check out Masters of the Universe back issues. I’ll decide based upon your review of DC He-Man.
