Faust uses strategy to get past Vixen’s “silver tails” and takes her out with his hellfire attack. He then departs from the woman from his dreams, telling her that her husband is dead and he can’t protect her anymore. Meanwhile, Rushiha dreams about how she got mad at her father for bringing them up to a hillside cabin knowing about her mother’s bad heart. He gives her the pocket watch, which belonged to her mother, making the girl sorry for saying she hated him. When she wakes up, Rushiha decides that they need to go rescue her Papa and they head for the same cabin, where she’s sure Angel is keeping her father.
What they got right: You have to feel sorry for Mitsuko. Faust has parts of Saburoh’s brain, including his memories, ala RoboCop, but Faust isn’t Saburoh. It’s a nice moment as Faust departs her for his mission to protect Rushiha, possibly to keep Mitsuko safe as they head straight for the lion’s den with five other robots waiting for them.
What they got wrong: On her profile page, why is Vixen naked? We can already see the “silver tails” unit on her back in her normal clothes so even though she’s sitting down with her back to us, why draw her naked? Even the other two humanoid female robots had clothes.
Recommendation: I’m really sorry there aren’t more issues. I don’t know if it was licensing, that the comic wasn’t selling well for Viz, or if the comic never finished for some reason in Japan, but I would love to find out how the story ends. Sadly, I can find so little information on this comic that I may never know. Pick this series up if you can.
