It seems Duncan isn’t alone in thinking Hiss isn’t so easily destroyed. Adam and Teela have their own concerns. That’s confirmed when Kobra Khan and Rattlor try, and fail, to snag Evil-Lyn. Taken prisoner by He-Man and the Royal Guard, Kobra Khan is tricked by Man-E-Faces into revealing their plans. Wanting to track Hiss down, the Masters come up with a plan to let them take Evil-Lyn and track them, unaware of Skeletor having been taken last issue or that the Faceless One has his own plans for his daughter and their foes.
What they got right: There’s nothing wrong with a little humor, like Adam having trouble finding a place to transform into He-Man or nothing that he broke the wall with Rattlor’s whole body. The action is good and so are the character interaction moments.
What they got wrong: I kind of wanted the Teela/Adam moment at the beginning of the book to continue. Outside of some exposition, nothing says Teela couldn’t have been there with Adam when Rattlor and Kobra Khan were spotted, have her order him to lock himself in his room or get her father, and had a longer moment between them. I like seeing them interact and I wish they could have had more time this issue.
Recommendation: Same as every other review in this run: go pick these up.
