BW Media Spotlight 
I’m a bit miffed that this spends more time discussing the business side (and rightfully so; here’s hoping Marvel stockholders didn’t put all their eggs in that one basket), but overlooks a lot of the actual creative. The end of Spidey’s Clone Saga gets mentioned, a bit of deep diving on Heroes Reborn, the underrated Marvel vs. DC gets a nod, as does the absolute magic of the Almalgam initiative, and I guess Onslaught happened? Obviously, the real-life drama behind Marvel’s meltdown and Image’s fall is compelling and worth discussion on its own. I just thought actual comics content got the short shrift here.
Good thing Archie Sonic was mostly immune to all this, the whole year bringing an embarrassment of riches that would keep the comic churning for years to come. Most especially the deepening of Knuckles’ world, and the introduction of mad would-be god Dimitri.

They’re actually fans of 90s comic stories so if their topic is how bad things were they would focus on the business end.
