So in Yahtzee’s case, the collective rogues of “Batman ’66” are the platonic ideal? Well, heck yeah, I’d add Ego from “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and the High Evolutionary from “Vol. 3” to that pile.

Speaking of “screw nuance, give me a memorable premise,” I just had to pass along the news that The Tetris Company and French animation studio TeamTO are working on a new show called “Tetris: World Builders,” whose logline seems to me both over the top and weirdly mundane given the franchise it’s attached to. “When massive, mysterious Tetrimino blocks begin raining from the sky, a fearless team of young “World Builders” must help their world adapt and evolve. Using ingenuity, collaboration and STEAM-based thinking, the Scouts transform unexpected challenges into exciting new opportunities, reshaping landscapes, solving community problems, and building a brighter future together.” The mind boggles with the possibilities those shapes might have in the real world. Hopefully a touch more ambitious than T-block as a table, O-block as the center of a roundabout, I-block as, um, a fence?
