I don’t know why it’s called “All-New” on the cover. It’s the only special based on the 90s The Flash TV series from CBS. Also, that’s not what the publishing information calls it.
See if you can guess what this song is. I’ll be disappointed if you can’t. I think the words are Gaelic but if you know your Christmas music you should already know it.
Following trends is how marketing works. That’s the problem with marketing.
That’s egg nog Max is drinking by the way, and that’s a screw up in the layer selection in panel four but I was running behind and didn’t have time to fix it or even notice it until just now.
Coming up this week is another Chapter By Chapter review of BattleTech: I Am Jade Falcon as we reach chapter nine. We start reviewing Robotech Masters on the Thursday edition of “Yesterday’s” Comic, and if I can get a Finally Watched in this week I’ll be happy. Hope you all have a good week!
One of Nelvana’s first productions, 1977’s A Cosmic Christmas tells the story of three aliens who come to Earth following the Star Of Bethlehem. Given how long it takes for light to travel the galaxy and be seen elsewhere they’re a few thousand centuries late, and being a Canadian special a few hundred miles off course. Here they meet a boy named Peter and his pet goose Lucy, who tries to show them what Christmas is…except his town is a bit lacking in the holiday spirit. The store owner is tired of the crazy shopping crowds. The police chief is bored while the mayor is a bit frantic with all the reports of space aliens. Then there’s the local bully. Peter’s grandmother seems more interested in the Christmas splendor she remembers while his parents are just trying to make a good Christmas and see no need for handmade decorations when you can buy them. The aliens came to learn about Christmas but maybe they can teach as well as learn?
The version below comes from an official (I think) posting on the YouTube kids show channel Keep It Weird, because I like to support official hosting. I also found it on the Retro Rerun channel. But since you can’t add kids-marked shows to a playlist I had to go with a different posting for the Christmas Special playlist. Enjoy.
I wish I had heard about this when it was announced so I could have promoted the sign-up period, but if you follow any indie creator streaming service like YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Watch, Twitter, or Tiktok you may find this post important. Every year YouTube gamer celeb Jack Septiceye puts on an event called Thankmas, which is explained in the video below. If you like charity streams check this out.
Click here to check out other announcements and past streams and if you want to see if you can offer your own channel as a last minute entry (this is why I’m sorry I’m just hearing about it) click here for the form or apparently just do one and tell Jack or someone you just heard about it and want to help bring charity and joy to this garbage fire of a year. No, I will not be taking part. My streams are boring and I have a Christmas superhero comic to work on, but have fun with it.
