Although probably not the final article. I would have used “Electric Boogaloo”, but this is the third time I’ve done one of these posts, so I’m not sure that would fit. 🙂

  • Dwayne McDuffie has been fired from DC Comics title Justice League of America, but not DC itself, after Lying in the Gutters, a rumor blog part of Comic Book Resources collected all of his complaints over the years about the difficulties of writing the series amid so many editor demands. On the one hand, he really shouldn’t have aired so much dirty laundry, even if the fans could tell things were off. On the other hand, if Didio and his favored writers didn’t make things so difficult for him, he wouldn’t have had so much dirty laundry and the fans wouldn’t have asked him about the oddities. And really, he just stated what happened without wining about it. The Weekly Crisis has their own take.
  • Three interesting articles from “Legends Revealed”, a website spawned from CBR’s “Comics Legends Revealed” articles. The first involves the famous line that never happened from Burns and Allen’s TV show. The second is dedicated to the Lovin’ Spoonful, including the group’s name and the fact that were almost the Monkees. The final one includes some back-story to that famous line from Snakes on a Plane.
  • After looking at my own budget, it’s really tough to feel sorry for the Screen Actors Guild concerning their union battle, but if they vote for the current deal, we might not have another reality show bonanza. (Oh, wait, we have that anyway. Even Cartoon Network is doing a series of reality shows.)
  • At least the Writer’s Guild appears to be happy. Um..yay, I guess.
  • Update on a complete release of the original Transformers cartoon. Individual season sets will also be made available for guys like me who can’t afford to get them all at once in his budget.
  • Want to have your portfolio reviewed by Cartoon Network bigwigs? Toon Zone tells you how. Want to paint Donald Duck’s official portrait? Here’s how.
  • Alan Burnett, writer for the Green Lantern: First Flight movie, is the subject of a PR interview. That means the company interviewed him and sent it out to news sites.

Well, my butt’s getting sore sitting here reading all the articles and typing all this, so that should do for now. 🙂

Even TVLand has been taken over by the reality show turdbags. Little point in tuning in at night anymore, it’s all lameass dating shows and Roseanne reruns. And now Green Acres seems to have gone MIA. Somebody over there needs a punch in the noggin.
