Although the regular fights no longer function under theme rules, those of us who make it to the Prize Fight must prove our stuff by doing so. Our theme, in honor of the fight between Marvelous Marvin Hagler (for whom this tournament is named) and Thomas Hernes, is the fight must end in collateral damage. Not sure why, but then I don’t follow boxing.
So if Spacebooger wants collateral damage, then we have to go back in time and to the distant planet of Nebulos. The Nursery is an agricultural research center that Zarak wants to get a hold of and sell off its discoveries to the highest bidder rather than free distribution. Because they obviously won’t sell to him and actually starting his own institute would be too good a business idea, Zarak is taking the easy way out…he’s using his position as the Headmaster to Scorponok. The Autobots have a bit of a surprise for him; they have a new kind of “(X)master” to show off.

“The War” Prize Fight
The Battlefield: The Transformers: Headmasters #4 (Marvel Comics; January, 1986) “Brothers In Armor!!”
The Promoters: Bob Budiansky (writer), Frank Springer (penciler), Akin & Garvey (inkers), Jack Morelli (letterer), Nel Yomtov (colorist), and Don Daley (editor)
The Autobots are currently without weapons for reasons that are too much backstory for a Friday Night Fight. At least that’s what the Decepticons think.

Apparently being a Targetmaster also means changing to solid colors.
The Decepticons are born (manufactured?) warriors and recover quickly.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee
However, the Autobots can to protect the Nursery and Pointblank notices they’re doing more harm than good.

"We'll have to visit the gift shop next time. After they rebuild it."
And Zarak still believes that he’s the savor of Nebulos…for about five seconds.

"Ummm....they did it!"
In truth he only did it because Spacebooger called for collateral damage, and Zarak and Shockwave don’t get along. (We know Shockwave’s issues with Spacebooger.)
