Our final time trip send the Turtles to the future. Shredder has taken over, with the city populated by his mutants. What fate has befallen our heroes, and how will it bring to the surface something inside Donatello?
What they got right: I love a good Donatello story. They say this is one possible future, meaning the regular series writer can ignore these events but they still count. I like the designs for the various mutants and it didn’t turn to a humans versus anthro story like Spider-Man Unlimited because even the anthros have non-Shredder fans since they’re enslaved by him, too. If only Alopex could see this.
What they got wrong: We finally get an explanation for why the Turtles were time-traveling. It wasn’t very interesting.
Recommendation: A great end to the mini-series, which is worth picking up for fans of the IDW Turtles comics.
I hope Renet comes back for future tales. She so fun.
