Steel is a hero known to carry a hammer, a play on his alter ego’s name, John Henry Irons. His namesake is known for beating a machine that drove nails for railroad tracks (if I remember the legend correctly) but died in the process. Mr. Irons isn’t ready to die, even when he’s the only one in the fight without his armor…or even his hammer!

John returned home to Washington, DC, to see his family. His old enemies tracked him down as well, breaking into their house and wounding his grandfather (who survived to get shot at again later in the series). Without his Steel armor, John has to resort to what he has available, like the table.
“Your table is ready.”
After John tables the discussion (sorry, it was stuck in my head), he still has a few goon left, and he’s all out of tables. But trust grandma to be ready with a frying pan.
I’d make a frying pan pun, but Moms beat me to it.
But what good is a frying pan to guys with helmets?
“See, now you just dented Moms’ favorite skillet.”
Imagine what he can do with a giant sledgehammer!
