If you recall my Chapter By Chapter review of the novelization of the original Total Recall you may recall me going over how Cohaagen’s plan was really kind of stupid. Not that the plans of the aliens who made the machine (original to the novel) made any sense. Movie or novel they were plans that shouldn’t have worked. Cohaagen’s plan only failed because it was Arnold Schwarzenegger. The aliens plan succeeded…I think…because you’re guess is as good as mine.
Seriously, what was even the No’ui’s plan?
However, this is nothing new as plans that shouldn’t work in movies somehow do. And I think the reason Cracked contributor Daniel O’Brien threw the Ocean’s Eleven remake and The Dark Knight in there is that he ran out of Star Wars plans that didn’t make sense but he really just wanted to do that series.
