“I’m going to beautifully win this costume contest.”

Disney’s been on a buying kick lately. Marvel, Lucasfilm, Maker Studios (which killed Blip), and just recently Fox (although we’re still waiting to see what the government does about the buyout). This deal only involves the movie and TV studios, not the news service. That means that along with ABC and ESPN (from when they bough Capital Cities) Disney now has a huge media empire. But what do they plan to do with it, and how does this affect the recent darker superhero stories 20th Century Fox was making with their X-Men license, their proposed streaming service as well as Hulu, the other streaming service they now own most of? (Hulu was a joint project between ABC, NBC, and Fox–CBS declined in favor of their own service.) ICv2 contributor Milton Griepp collects the information to answer that question.
