I wasn’t planning to return to Gaijin Goombah’s Which Ninja series this early but events conspired against me. In the two videos below, one his more recent offering and another an older one that ties in, Goombah and his avatar, Little G, look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise to see how well they are depicted versus real life ninja. Surprisingly the most well known incarnation may well be the least accurate.

Interestingly The Next Mutation wasn’t mentioned at all. Probably because it isn’t accurate to much of anything, not just ninjas. He mentioned an earlier episode involving the Shredder’s status as an actual ninja. Let’s see that one and complete the set.

You can see more examinations of fictional ninjas as well as other commentaries on Japanese media and culture at Gaijin Goombah’s YouTube channel as well as his show Culture Shock for the Game Theorist channel.
