With all the talk about needing good girl and woman heroes for girls to see strong female characters, it’s nice when they remember “hey, didn’t somebody already create those?” and do something with them. I don’t know if they still make Nancy Drew mystery books for young readers or if they even still publish them. I’m not a mystery person. The only mystery books I have feature superheroes or I got through a book club. However, her name is still synonymous with lady detectives, so hearing that she’s getting more comic adventures is a good thing. If they don’t screw it up like they have been lately!

I liked the Hardy Boys Mysteries books. I used to get them from our local town library. Looking at the cover of that Nancy Drew comic shows that it will be nothing like its 50s/60s book version. Then again, I wouldn’t expect it to. For instance, Leave It To Beaver set in 2018 would look very different from the 1958 version.
