BW’s Art Soundoff 2017 #9: Decluttering Projects

Jake & Leon #341: This Was Livestreamed

SPOILERS: Nobody showed up for the livestream.

I’ll post the recording at the end of the article if you want to see it. Meanwhile the Clutter Reports takes a look at another Transformer from the Cybertron toyline, the Decepticon Brimstone.

I’m hoping to get a few Art Soundoffs and articles done before my dental surgery tomorrow, but don’t be surprised if I miss a few days this week due to recovery…and I’ve about had it with recovering from surgeries! I really hope this is my last one for a long time! If I get to it, this should be the debut of Voltron: A Legend Forged, the last Voltron miniseries I have yet to review. I’m still considering what series will take it’s place. Maybe Sonic The Hedgehog in honor of the Archie run ending, but the problem is that my comic collection is still all over the place so I’d have to find it. I have five weeks to come up with a solution. And now, the drawing of this week’s comic. You’ll note I changed the ending, and this is going to be a discussion topic for the next Art Soundoff v-log.

Saturday Night Showcase: The Other 2017 Art Soundoff Participants

I would have done this last week but I wanted to see who else joined in. Last year we had people who joined in afterwards or didn’t use the #ArtSoundoff hashtag on Twitter so I missed them. And this year they said “as long as you do one, you participated”, which I suppose was always true.

For those of you who haven’t been paying attention to my morning videos this month, Art Soundoff is a micropodcast challenge for comic creators to discuss their art day, history, or whatever they want to discuss, with prompts given to those who can’t think of a discussion topic. I tend to do my own, and only take part weekdays. But I do like to take time to showcase the other people participating, because that’s one of the benefits of the challenge–to find new and interesting creators discussing their craft. So tonight, if you haven’t been following the other participants, I bring the people besides me discussing their creative goals. Some of these can be played here, while others will be links. (Probably all links on Patreon.)

[VIDEO] A Veteran’s Story

I try to post something here during Veteran’s Day. Many family and friends, either because of the draft or of their own accord, have served in wartime, which I don’t have the guts to do, and thankfully I’ve never had to. I wasn’t sure what to do but then I saw this video from Connecticut station ch. 8 from their show CT Style. They interview a World War II Veteran named Ben Cooper who was part of one of the many concentration camp liberations, and had a fascinating encounter with some of the people they saved that day. Please watch, and thank a Veteran for serving. They put their lives on the line so you and others could live free.

Friday Night Fights: One Horde, One Punch

No, this has nothing to do with Hordak. Instead it’s a horde of Deviants, a race in the Marvel Universe I know little about. I do know that at this moment in tonight’s offering they’re up to no good. And they’ve made a mistake of going after Danny Rand, who has the power to make his fist unto a thing of iron. Or something like that. It’s only one panel since I have a lot to do before Monday to avoid a potential hiatus, because I had enough of that last year, but it should do well.

Unfortunately this also means subjecting you to John Ostrander’s attempt at humor in the captions. For this I am so very sorry.
