Apparently Amazo also visited Apache Chief.

Adventures In The DC Universe #18

DC Comics (September, 1998)

“Destroy The JLA”

WRITER: Steve Vance

PENCILER: John Delaney

INKER: Ron Boyd

COLORIST: Bob LeRose

LETTERER: Tim Harkins

ASSISTANT EDITOR: Chuck Kim

EDITOR: Kevin Dooley

Professor Ivo creates an android named Amazo 2000 and gives him the powers of the JLA–Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman. However, Amazo makes the mistake of ignoring Batman for his lack of superpowers, so Batman comes up with a plan to take Amazo down with an EMP. It seriously damages Amazo so Ivo calls him back, leading the JLA into a trap to fully drain their powers into an army of Amazos. Realizing he isn’t so special and Ivo used him, Amazo destroys the robotics lab, the other Amazos, the power siphon, and presumably Ivo himself.

What they got right: Amazo is usually a good threat for the Justice League since he has all of their powers. The fight is really good and I like how this art style similar to the DCAU but fixes things like Superman’s long chin.

What they got wrong: Did Amazo not appear in the regular DCU at this point or are the writers still confused what reality this is taking place in like the rest of the Adventures titles? Because Amazo will have a DCAU appearance when the actual DCAU Justice League debuts. Also we don’t get to see Aquaman or Amazo’s replication of his powers do much of anything.

Recommendation: A good Justice League story regardless of what continuity it’s supposed to be in. Worth checking out.
