“Yesterday’s” Comic> The Unbelievable Gwenpool #1

Lately I just seem inundated with comics containing multiple stories. Somebody’s doing this on purpose.

If I did social commentary this is where I’d do it.

Well, I have a reason to not see any of the Black Panther movies because I don’t believe simply wearing a badge makes you the everliving source of evil!

Memorial Day Tributes

YouTube only showed me parade streams and short tribute videos, so I decided to pop up a few of the tributes for this year’s Memorial day.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Memorial Day, and took time out of your celebrations who died to protect our freedoms. They say freedom isn’t free, but the real cost isn’t financial…it’s the cost of lives to keep evil from dominating our way of life and taking away our rights as human beings. Take time to honor the fallen, and enjoy the life they fought to protect.

Jake & Leon #559: Memorial Party

They died so we might live. Remember to honor that in between the hot dogs and parades.

Yes, Memorial Day is coming tomorrow, which means the feature post will be a Memorial Day Tribute I can find on YouTube. That will move the Chapter By Chapter review of Batman: Knightfall to Tuesday. It’s part two of the book as Dennis O’Neil begins adapting the “Knightquest” story arc.

Also, over at The Clutter Reports it’s just a quick update on where I stand in the next phase of the Comic Organizing Mega Project.

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend and a great week overall, everyone. Remember to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could have all these events.

Saturday Night Showcase> Batman: Legends Of Robin

I don’t know why I’ve gotten so much Batman material lately, though it’s oddly timed as I review the novelization of the Knightfall storyline. At least this one I went looking for information about as I had mentioned it in…one of the articles I’ve made lately.

Produced by Warner Brother Records, Batman: Legends Of Robin is a two cassette audio drama from 1996 adapting various issues of the comic detailing the journey of then new Robin Tim Drake. It features a great cast, including John Shea (Lex Luthor in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman as King Snake and Mark Hamill as the Joker. It covers how Tim Drake became Robin, the death of Jason Todd, the sad fate of Tim’s parents because heaven forbit at least one of these characters keeps both parents if any, Tim’s training, and his encounters with Two-Face and the Joker.

The rest of the voice cast is also excellent. Jim Soriero is a great Tim Drake, Don Leslie is a worthy Batman, oddly it doesn’t say on the box who played Nightwing, a good use of Peter Waldren as Alfred, and Aaron May gets a turn as Superman. I’ll post the full cast list after the recording which I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
